Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using Goose. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Acceptance

1.1
By downloading, accessing, or using Goose (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not download or use the App.
1.2
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

License

2.1
Ivan Kolkovskiy (“Developer”) grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
2.2
You may not sublicense, sell, resell, transfer, assign, or otherwise distribute the App or any portion of it. The App and all content, features, and functionality within it are and remain the property of Ivan Kolkovskiy.

Description

3.1
Goose is a personal finance tracking tool for manually recording and reviewing expenses. The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. Goose is not a financial institution and does not connect to bank accounts.

Account

4.1
Using the App requires Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining access to your Apple ID and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify the Developer promptly if you become aware of any unauthorized access to your account.

Subscriptions and Payments

5.1
Subscription plans.Goose offers a free tier and a paid subscription (“Goose Pro”). Monthly: $4.99/month. Annual: $29.99/year. Prices may vary by region and are displayed in the App before purchase.
5.2
Billing and auto-renewal.Subscriptions are billed through Apple and are subject to Apple’s payment terms. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
5.3
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Access to Pro features continues until the end of the paid period.
5.4
Refunds.All payments are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple directly at reportaproblem.apple.com. The Developer has no control over Apple’s refund decisions.
5.5
Subscription changes. The Developer reserves the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing period.

Your Data

6.1
All financial data you enter belongs to you. The Developer does not claim ownership of your data. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter.
6.2
You may delete your account and associated data at any time directly in the App (Settings → Erase Data → Delete user account) or by contacting the Developer. Data deletion is processed within 30 days of your request. For more information, see the Privacy Policy.

Prohibited Use

7.1
Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
7.2
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works of the App.
7.3
Use the App to store data of other persons without their explicit consent.
7.4
Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the App’s infrastructure or servers.
7.5
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App’s backend systems.
7.6
Use the App to transmit malicious code or harmful content.

Disclaimer of Warranties

8.1
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8.2
The Developer does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. The App is a tracking tool only and does not constitute financial, tax, accounting, investment, or legal advice.

Limitation of Liability

9.1
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the App.
9.2
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

Termination

10.1
The Developer may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms or misuse the App.
10.2
Upon termination, your license to use the App ends immediately.
10.3
If you have an active subscription at termination, it continues until the end of the current billing period; no refund is issued for unused time unless required by law.
10.4
Your account data will be deleted within 30 days unless retention is required to comply with a legal obligation.
10.5
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time (see Section 6).

Apple Requirements

11.1
Maintenance and support. The Developer, not Apple, is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support services for the App.
11.2
Warranty. To the extent a warranty applies and cannot be disclaimed, the Developer, not Apple, is solely responsible for any claims related to the App.
11.3
Product claims. The Developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims you or any third party have relating to the App.
11.4
Intellectual property. In the event of any third-party claim that the App infringes intellectual property rights, the Developer, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such claim.
11.5
Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Governing Law

12.1
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Developer operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms should first be addressed by contacting the Developer in good faith. Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights under the laws of your country of residence.

Changes

13.1
These Terms may be updated from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. For material changes, the Developer will make reasonable efforts to notify users before the changes take effect. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
